attachments part.......

When I send a message with attachments through my pop3 account and they are received by hotmail or earthlink recipients, the attachments disappear and are replaced by winmail.dat file. Strangely enough, when sent to yahoo accounts, the attachments are delivered. I have tried sending the messages as HTML and plain text with the same result. I have also sent the messages from the webmail site of the pop3 account with no problem. The recipients are not contacts members and I have tried small jpg and .txt attachments. Still no luck

HELP!
