Hello,

This is ny first post, so please tell me if this is the wrong place or
I am not following protocol. Thank you.

My brother-in-law uses OS X and Entourage...

1) When he sends an email with an attachment, the recipient gets the
attachment, but the copy in his 'Sent' folder does not contain the
attachment. I know nothing about Macs, but it sounds like a setting.

2) I.E. He sends a 10 page attachment and the recipient only gets the
first page. We haven't tested this yet to determine if the problem is
at the recipients end. Have you encountered this?

Hi and Welcome. Hope we can help.

Can you tell us what version of Entourage is being used? In any case, I have
never seen this problem with attachments on my system. If you have an
attachment, it should be seen in the 'Sent' folder with the email. There are
no switches related to this that I know of except for a Rule that could be
in effect that has the 'Remove Attachments' action listed. Check all your
Rules for this.

I don't know why the recipient only gets one page of an attachment. Best to
test this by sending it to yourself and see what comes through.

Not much help here - sorry. But keep posting with more (not less) detail!

Thank you very much Rudy Kohut. I will forward your reply to him and
ask him for the Entourage version.

It sounds as though your brother n law is copy/pasting a PDF file into the
body of a message. This will insert the first page only as a graphic image.

What he should do is use the 'add attachmentsŠ' menu item under the message
menu, navigate to the pdf file and select it.

Now, the full pdf file will be attached to the message as a pdf and not as a
graphic file.
