Attachments

Dr. Alton Clark Dubois

When I receive attachments - either in Word or Excel - in
Entourage.......they are unable to be opened with either Word or Excel.
However, when I use the other Mac mailer (Mail) and open the attachments, I
have no problem. How can I fix this in Entourage?

What happens when you try? Are you opening them directly from the message or
saving them first?

Are they being sent from a Mac or a PC? Are they compressed, or attached
directly to the message?

And do they have the '.doc' or '.xls' name extension.

Are they being sent by Office 2007 on a windows machine? If so, they may be
in the new 'docx' (.xlsx) format which isn't (yet) readable by office:mac
(although it can be read by openoffice)
