Hello. I am having trouble opening attachments. I double click on
them and nothing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions? It's
very frustrating!

Also, make sure that in the account options (Tools>Accounts, double-click
your account, then select the Options tab), "Partially download..." is not
checked. This option prevents attachments from being downloaded in their
entirety, which means that they cannot be opened properly.

Any attachments. Pictures, movies, etc. I can drag them to the
desktop and sometimes it works. I should be able to double click on
any attachment and have it open up.

You should. I sure can.
It could be a bug in an old version of Office (are you up to date). It
could be a permission error too (you can repair these through
DiskUtility).
