Attention: laptop and Exchange users

W

William Smith

A scattered few folks have posted here looking for a means to easily
switch Exchange Server addresses between work and home. After searching
for solutions on the InterWeb and finding no offerings I have written an
AppleScript and posted it on The Entourage Help Blog (yes, a shameless
plug) asking for testers and comments.

From my blog post:

Laptop users who move between their company network and another network,
such as a home or a coffeehouse network, may need to connect to
different Exchange Server addresses depending on the location. For
example, at work I connect Entourage 2004 directly to a back-end
Exchange Server but at home I connect it to my company's Outlook Web
Access (OWA) front-end server. Entourage does not give me the ability to
store both server addresses and switch between them easily, so I've
written this AppleScript to do it for me automatically.

If you're interested in testing the script and contributing your ideas
please visit The Entourage Help Blog <http://blog.entourage.mvps.org>.

Thanks! bill
