Attn: Paul B: Issue w "Send complex html" for X

Hi,

I'm on Ent 2004. Have previously (and successfully) sent complex html.
Thanks for that! But now, strange things happens:

I use the "send complex html X" despite I'm on 2004 because I can't find
any other and it worked before. I have a html file with absloute paths
to two images (http://www.mysite/image.jpg) and some simple CSS in the
head of the doc. It's saved as "foo" without html-extension since I want
the "foo" to be the mail's subject.

After I opened the file in Mac's TextEditor (as ASCII) and made a few
changes, the file is grayed out when I use the script and try to grab
the file.

What gives?

Oh, and do you have any other general tips?

TIA

Danny

PS:

By adding html extension, I managed to send using your script "Send
complex html with inline images 2004" but the images were linked absolutely.

The only drawback sems to be that I need to add the subject by hand in
the actual message - not in the html file.

Cheers,

Actually, Send Complex HTML with Inline Files 2004 (SCHWIF2004, as I've
decided to call it to make it catchier) is my script.

Ooops...sorry Rob <blush />

And yes, it will work
fine even if there are no inline files.

As for your earlier question - why Complex HTML X doesn't let you pick the
HTML file once it's been edited - as I recall, the script won't let you pick
an HTML file unless it has the right kind of file/creator type combination.
Once you edited the HTML and saved it, the file/creator type combination
changed to match that of the text editor you used and were no longer
suitable for the script.

Thanks for confirmation. I was completely stumped here.

Cheers,
