Authenticating

Recently started using Entourage as my mail app because OS-X mail was too
unstable. Can receive OK, but when I try to send or reply, I get ³Error
5553. Relaying denied, try authenticating.² What does this mean and how do I
do it?

Your outgoing SMTP server needs a username and password. If you're trying to
send with your Mac.com account, there are detailed instructions at
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/accounts/mac_com.html>. Note the screenshot
where they show how to turn on outgoing authentication.

Even if you're not using a Mac.com account, that screenshot shows you how to
do it.
