Auto-deleting email from primary account

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have Entourage and a Yahoo account. When I import mail into Entourage from Yahoo, the Yahoo inbox is suddenly empty. That did not happen with my older version of Entourage; imported email remained in both inboxes until deleted.
Now I can't figure out how to stop the auto delete from happening.

edit the account settings for the Yahoo account (in entourage). you can
set the account top 'leave mail on server' in there.
