Auto Format of Merged Cells

I am trying to auto format the height of merged cells across a page. It seems that when I go to “Format†–“Rowâ€- “AutoFit†it does not work on merged cells. I also tried putting a text box in the sheet but automatically adjust the format horizontally not vertically. In creating a protected form I would think this would be a common practice to keep the with of a merged cells but increase the height.

Hi
you can't use Autofit on merged cells. One of the drawbacks of these
formating style. So I'd suggest to avoid merging cells (you will
encounter more problems: e.g. sorting, filerting, etc.)
