sdavidson

Suddenly, starting about 2 weeks ago I developed a
probelm with Office XP, whereby every time I start an
office component (Word, Outlook, etc. ) I ge a dialoguie
box instructing me load the Office XP with Frontpage cd.
When I cancel, I get a Error 1706 message.

This is iommpacting my productivitry and I have no idea
where it came from or how to stop it.

Thx

Hi S.,

MS Office XP with Frontpage is an Enterprise license
edition (non-retail). Error 1706 indicates that
the MS Installer, when trying to repair or update the
program is not able to find the original installation
media or Network Admin Point it needs to complete the
repair.
