Why Auto macros (f.e. AutoClose) does NOT work if Word
document is opened via Internet Explorer ?

Hi Boris,

I assume that it is done for securoty reasons - to prevent potential virus
code from running. I don't know of a workaraound.

We found if you check Explorer, not Internet Explorer
Tools>Folder Options>File Types.. select the applicable
file extension then ENSURE Browse in same window is
unchecked it will eliminate this problem. In our case,
installation of 2002/2003 automatically checked "Browse in
same window" and the document actually opens up with
Internet Explorer menus instead of Word's menus. Hope
