Auto-populate PowerPoint Slides

I need to automatically create 105 PowerPoint presentations and need
some advice on tools available (for free or purchase) and/or VBA
methods to accomplish it.

We've conducted a major customer survey for a client. The PowerPoint
will start with a template presentation but the data will be specific
to one of 105 major accounts for the client. Though the template
slides will be identical, they need to be populated with verbatims and
observations specific to the specific account. In addition, there will
be some data points that drive charts, again, specific to the account.

My initial thought would be to create an Excel spreadsheet (could be
Access if that is better) that includes 105 rows and enough columns to
represent each specific data point or bullet in the presentation then
somehow use VBA to create the presentations. Since it is likely we'll
need to modify some of the data, these approach would allow us to
modify the Excel sheet then "re-run" the PPT report.

Problem is, I haven't done and VBA in PPT (mostly Excel).

Are there tools or add-ins out there that could accomplish this for me?
If not, any suggestions on an approach?

Thanks -

- John

I did this for a client of mine which produces survey results and then
generates PPT-based reports for dozens of clients. I automated the process
as you described. Most customers reports are generated from the same PPT
template, but some have their own custom tempates. I generate charts and
even custom PPT graphics (populated with their data). I can share my work
with you. Contact me at (e-mail address removed)

Thanks for the quick response, Kurt. I had already checked your
web-site based on an older post to this newsgroup. It appeared that
PPTMerge only handles one slide and basically makes many copies of it.
Sort of like a mail merge in word to mailing labels, correct? My
situation is different. I have many slides in one presentation that
needed to be "merged" to a single record in a database. However, there
are 105 records in that database so each presentation needs to merge
with a separate record to create 105 unique versions of the PPT.

Thanks - John

Hi Steve,
You got your buck! Here I am.
Waxwing already found our website and he's evaluating DataPoint
already...
