Auto Reply - But not via Out of Office Assistant - Outlook 2002

Hi,
When I used Office 97, I could set up a message rule to reply to an incoming
message automatically with a pre-defined message. I want to do the same in
Outlook 2002, but as far as I can see it is only available in Out of Office
Assistant, but I still want to have this rule run, when I am in office also.
Any suggestions please.

Thanks

Use Wizard Rules for this. Start of with a blank rule and follow on-screen
instructions

Hi,

I have been down that route, but it asks me to "reply using a specific
template" at which point I seem to loose it. I think the wording in 97 was,
"reply using a specific message" so therefore I could select a pre-prepared
message, text and attachment and it automatically inserted the incoming
address and sent the reply. I am totally lost with the means to apply this
same procedure to XP.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

John

Hi Again,

Please ignore my last. I have it now, I was using Word as my e-mail editor,
once I changed I can now create and save the replies I want as templates,
and it works fine, sorry for the trouble and thanks for your help.
