Auto response e mail

How does one set up auto response e mail. Is there special software for
this? Thanks.

You can set up a rule in ENtourage to auto-reply to all incoming e-mails
(make sure you exclude discussion lists though ;-) ).
It will require that Entourage is left running at all time of course.

If you have an Exchange account, you can connect through webmail and in
the options, you can activate the Out Of Office assistant.

An they have to have computer on all time?
I usually shut down computer on vacation.

They probably set the vacation reply not in Entourage but on their ISP's
website (for POP and IMAP accounts). That's the best way. Then you can shut
down your computer. I see you're using hotmail here. You can do this on the
Hotmail website, I'm pretty sure. For other email accounts go to the
appropriate website of your relevant ISP. If they don't have such a feature
(bit I'm sure they do) you'd have to do it in Entourage and leave it running
the whole time.

Actually, I don't really use hotmail, just list it here to avoid spam.

Damn, only problem is I have 3 isp, 2 control 2 different website I have,
and one is from the cable company. So that's a lot of calls to make for
each vacation. But I guess that's the way it is, if you say so.
