Auto sizing a textframe in VBA for Power Point does not always wo.

I am creating a two slides in power point using data from a form in MS
Access. When if first start up the program and create the slide in VBA the
autosize fit to text does not work. When I delete the slides only and
recreate them without deleting the instance of power point the autosize fit
to text works. The fit to text option is checked in power point when I bring
up the properties window. If I click OK the textframe is correctly autosized.
Why? How can I get the autosizing feature to work at first start up. Any
ideas?
