Autocomplete message text

Here's the problem. When typing an email, Entourage has an annoying
autocomplete feature that I can't figure out how to turn off.

For example, if I type a sentence containing, say, U.K., entourage
automatically capitalizes the next letter after U.K. Entourage also
autocompletes contractions. For example, if I type "gettin'" on purpose,
Entourage replaces "gettin'" with "getting".

Any help on turning this off much appreciated.
