autofill addresses

Every time I want to enter an email addrress, the auto fill pulls up
all addresses to which I have sent a message before. This is a problem
for me because my girlfriend has to see the name of my ex while
sending messages to anyone whose name starts with B. Can I delete
individual names from drop down email address menu?

This is the Most Recently Used addresses list. See

No, you can only delete all of the recent autofills.

You can delete individuals - enter them into the address book and mark them
as junk - they will no longer appear in the MRU list.
