Autofill of addresses - alway the wrong one

B

berten

Hi,
One thing drives me mad. When I write a mail to one of my friends,
he's old mail address alway comes up first - not the new one in my
Contacts. This old entry is stored somewhere, but I have no idea to
get rid of it.

It is very frustrating, since things run fast here, and I just type
and send :) The few seconds later "Undelivered Mail Returned to
Sender".

Please, anyone?

The best you can do is clear those entries out:

1. Open Entourage Preferences.
2. From the preference panel list on the left, select Compose.
3. Under Recent Addresses, click the Clear List button.

Yes there is.

To clear a single address, add it exactly like the one that is remembered to
your address book and mark it as Junk (or assign category Junk). You can
just delete the address, but if you receive it again it will just be added
back. Marking as junk will permanently remove it from the AutoComplete list.

Thanks for the correction. Seems like a laborious process to go through
just to delete an address, but hey - if it works...

I agree. There should be an easier way. We can always request it through
feedback.
