Automatically adding contacts to address book

Every time I recieve an email, that sender is automatically added to
my address book. With all the spam I get, it's a little out of hand.
Does anyone know how to change this so that senders are NOT
automatically added? Thanks to anybody who can help.

are you sure they're being added, or just appearing in your recent
sender list? i asked recently how to automatically add contacts and was
told this couldn't be done.

You can actually set up a rule to do that.
* Execute actions if any criteria are met
IF All Messages
THEN Add Sender to Address Book

However, I would advise against using a rule like this because your Address
Book could become filled with addresses you don't want.
