Autoshape to show on every new page in template

I am currently creating a document that has an AutoShape that is
inteneded to display vertically on the left side of each page in a
template. However, whenever I go to the 2nd page (3rd page and
on)....the autoshape does not continue to the following pages (as the
header and footer do).

Is there any way to make my vertical rectangle on the left side of the
pages show up in each pages as the default for my template? It would
basically function just a header and footer, but only stretching
vertically instead of horizontally.....

Your help is appreciate immensely

Clint,

Open the Header and Footer view and anchor you autoshape in the header and
footer pane.
