Autotext - Subject line in Emails

[Michael Downs]

I have to send reports to Superannuation funds on a monthly basis. The subject line has a long entry specified by the funds to avoid being deleted by their spam filters and I am trying to save it as autotext

I am highlighting the subject line and then going to Insert/autotext but the add new is greyed out. Is there something that I am not doing correctly

Any help would be very much appreciated.

No, it is just that when your cursor is in the subject line (or the
recipient's address, or the sender's, etc) many features are disabled, such
as Autotext.

What you can do is create a template. Type the bare bones, including the
subject line and save your document as a template. Then just create
documents from the template and your subject line will already be there,
along with the recipient's address, yours, or any other standard content
that this report needs.
