Avoid preview to open an attachment

I have ibook with os x 10.2.8 and office

Whenever I receive an picture as an attachment.. I have to double click it
and then it opens in Preview. But it takes a while. Can I do anything so
that the picture automatically is shown at the bottom or automatically
opens?

Don't know if this is possible.... But just asking.

I have the same problem. Were you a switcher to MAC? BTW how much did you
buy your iBook? Is it the 12" or the 14" model?

In Entourage 2004 there is an option to not show pictures, but I see you
have Office X. Always include the version you are using as the answer can
vary for different versions.

If the sender stuffs the file there is nothing you can do. Otherwise it
should just show in the bottom of the message. If it's an HTML message it
will show inline.

Sorry about not saying what os... It is x...10.28
I solved it... In Mail and News preferences, Read, HTML..i had checked the
Display complex HTML in message. Once I unchecked it... Voila.

I could not find anything appropriate on the faqs for this...

I spoke too soon. If that is unchecked then all the emails with complex
HTML show up in a very messy way.... Which I don't like either...

And I would prefer to not flip back and forth.
