Awful default fonts in Entourage 2008

Hi
I have a new iMac 24" - just moved from PC.

Can anyone help me with these questions?

1) the default fonts for the list of email in my inbox, the headings of the columns the list of mailboxes etc etc. is just awful and appears blurry with a shadow like effect behind it. How can I change these to more readable and clearer fonts?

2) I want my inbox list to show the columns FROM, TO, SUBJECT, DATE RECEIVED, ATTACHMENT, FLAGGED etc - how do I do this? In Outlook on PC I just right click and choose field chooser - but how do i do this on Mac Entourage?

Entourage (menu) > Preferences > General Preferences > Fonts > List Items

2) I want my inbox list to show the columns FROM, TO, SUBJECT, DATE

just right click and choose field chooser - but how do i do this on Mac
Entourage?

View > Columns

You can also control-click the column headings and add/remove columns.

The blurry fonts sounds more like a cache problem to me. Be sure to restart
your computer and clean out your font caches.

Be sure to check out the 3 Pane view in Entourage. You get the "Arrange by"
views that you can customize.

I have just worked out that if I turn preview pane off, or show the preview pane at the bottom of the screen, then I can display the columns I want by View > Columns.
However, if I display the preview pane to the right - this option is disabled.

This is really annoying, as I have a wide screen and so want the preview pane on the right AND want to display the columns I want.

On the PC version of Outlook, a similar thing happens if you get the balance of width wrong between items list and preview pane - but by dragging to change this balance you are able to show the columns you want. Not so in Entourage. Am I right - or is there a way around this in MAC that I have not found yet?
