Background Size

If someone were to design a back ground to go in frontpage 2003 what would
the size have to be?

This is a trick question because a bg image can be 1x1 pixels to
"whatever"...but "whatever" is usually way too big.
What are you trying to do?

I would like to design my own background and would like to know the size and
the pixels in photoshop.

Please describe the background you wish to create; a texture? a gradient?
hopefully not a full size bg image (bad way to go).

A repeating texture can be a very small...same with a gradient, then you'd
use CSS to repeat in whatever direction(s) you want, or tile.

A full size (and what size would that be?...dunno...what size will your
viewers have their browser viewports set to?? Your guess is as good as mine.

What have you tried so far?
