Backing up Entourage

One of the ways I am trying to back up Entourage is via a shared computer. I
want to copy either my whole Documents folder or else just the MUD folder
over to the backup computer. But I keep getting the message that it can¹t
accomplish this because something named ³Database² is in use. It doesn¹t
specific which database on which computer. I restarted both of them to be
sure nothing was running. I have done this before with no problem. Any idea
of whether and how I can get this quicker method to work. Waiting for all
the messages is very time-consuming, not only because they take a long time
but because they are not organized and filtered, so there¹s a lot of work to
do after they download.

It¹s the Microsoft Database daemon. If you check out the blog articles on
how to set this up using an Automator action you should be able to do what
you want.
The action will quit the Microsoft Database daemon and Entourage then copy
to the destination you want.

Backup Entourage
This uses Automator and schedules using iCal to automatically backup.
Describes how to copy so you can let Time Machine backup the copy.
