You can back up your entire database by regularly copying the Office X
Identities folder within the Microsoft User Data folder. That's pretty big
of course - maybe 500 MB or more, depending on your database. If you really
just want to back up tasks and calendar events into text files of just a few
KB, you could get my scripts Export-Import Entourage at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

They will do it very quickly, and can import them again into any Entourage
identity (or Excel, if you wish) just as quickly.
