Backup entourage attachments only

Is there any way I can copy all the attachments I've accumulated in my
Entourage? I need to take the files on a trip with me where I can
only use a PC because of some other programs. Where are all the
attachments in entourage stored?

Please help! Thanks.

They're stored with the messages. You can create a custom view that
finds all messages with attachments (criterion is Attachment Exists),
then select all messages in that view and save all attachments with
Message -> Save All Attachments.

There are two scripts that removes preferences and attaches a note to the
message. Friendlier Claris It! | Save Attachments

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/script/fav_scripts.html#favscript17>

<http://scriptbuilders.net/files/saveattachments20041.0.0.html>

Usually these scripts are run in a Rule when mail is received, but you
should be able to manually run the scripts on your messages. I would try it
on a folder at a time to see how that goes. If you have lots of messages it
could choke. Just a guess.

In addition, I suggest duplicating your Identity BEFORE running the scripts
in case things go bad. Normally, these scripts cause no problems, but
running it on all messages like this could have different results. Better
safe than sorry.

That should be "removes attachments" not "removes preferences". Sorry!
