Bar Chart Category Labels

When I create bar charts with category labels that are longer than usual, the
axis will be the only thing that expands when I try to expand the actual bars
themselves. I cannot figure out how to get the category x axis labels to
stay the way they are so that I can elongate the bars. Help!

Personally, I think the axis labels formatting on bar charts leaves a
tremendous amount to be desired.

I've run into the same kind of problem you're describing. The only real
workaround I know is to just add the axis labels in PPT itself.

Sorry I don't have a better solution for you.
