being limited to those colors contained in the staandard format baar drop

Appreciate your taking the time..... Maybe I'll pass out crayons at the next
team meeting -- everyone pick a color and stay withing the lines.

Colors are a poor way of communicating as some people are colorblind and
others print things in black and white.

How about using the grouping function to show each resource's tasks in a
separate group?
Or put the resource initials somewhere in the bar text?

You can use patterns as well and Project 2007 has more colors, but it would
become hard to differentiate between colors after a while.

Jack and Rod,

I had brought up the color-blind issue, using patterns and in initials but
seems now all of that is wanted - I'm feeling more like a decorator than a
manager planning. Must admit though, it is colorful but a pain with all of
the colors. I'm going to check 2007..... another friend told me there was
some .NET code that could be used to bring in a much larger pallette. Again,
appreciate the responses.

Thanks for the help,

Rex,

I am trying out 2007, and the problem I am having is that once the file is
saved and I have different colors in different bars, when I reopen the file,
all bars suddenly jump to a light blue color??? I have to go one by one and
change the colors again. has this happened, or would anybody know why?
