Basic entourage questions

Entourage X
Comcast High Speed(?) Internet
Just want to check on what some settings should be.
I have the correct
mail.comcast.net
and
smtp.comcast.net
entered in the right places. Things have been working great until yesterday.

Should this box in "advanced sending options" be checked or not?
SMTP sever requires authentication

Should this box under "Mail & News Preferences" be checked or not?

Been having a ton of trouble all of a sudden with receiving and sending
e-mails.

Comcast says they don't support anything except Internet Explorer and
Outlook Express.
I have Safari and Entourage X so I'm on my own except for you.
You people are invaluable. I have learned so much from reading these
questions and answers.

I have Comcast and do not have any advanced options checked.

Should this box under "Mail & News Preferences" be checked or not?

Only if you want to always reply with the same account. I do not have mine
checked. This way, I reply to a message with the address they used to send
to me.

I suspect this has something to do with the recent virus attacks. I've been
told mail sent to my comcast account is bouncing. Not all but some. I
contacted Comcast today via email to see if I can get some kind of answer.
My previous contact with support has been less than satisfactory.

Express.

OE instructions are almost identical as Entourage. Just say you use OE.
