BCC How know they got it?

You send something to a friend and then BCC four other friends.
How know other four received the e mail?
You don't see 5 e mails in your sent folder you only see one.

And when you double click the e mail sent, you only see the one e mail
address --- none of the one you entered in the BCC box.thanks

If you simply want to see who you sent it to (BCC), right-click on the
sent email and choose Resend. This seems to be the only way to see the
list of BCC recipients after you send an email. Be careful not to send
the message again unless you really want too.

Actually, you can open a sent message into its own window (rather than
viewing it in the Preview Pane) and see the BCC list.

No, I tested it and that does not work (11.3.6). The BCC entries are
not listed in the sent email.

Can't imagine why you're not seeing them. To reiterate, you have to actually
open the message and not just view it in the preview pane.

If you sent mail to an address book group and chose to hide the recipients,
you'll only see the group name. You can control-click it to view the
recipients.

Here is the ENTIRE header viewed in the SENT email (not the received
one):

I also BCC'ed another address. Once an email is sent, you cannot see
the BCC lines in the sent email.

You won't see it in the header, you'll see it in the interface.

BCC is not an actual field, it doesn't get transmitted in the actual message
for the obvious reasons - the recipients would be able to see it. it's an
instruction to the mail server to also send a copy to someone else.

I'll post a screenshot of what you should be seeing at:

Try opening the message in a separate window simply by double-clicking it in
the message window or by pressing Return/Enter. If you still see the full
header as you mentioned, go to View > Internet Headers to switch to regular
headers, where the BCC field should be visible for sent mail.

I always show full Internet Headers. As Mickey said, you have to turn
off Internet Headers to see that. (Strange, but true.)

Thanks, Mickey.

It actually makes perfect sense when you consider the fact that BCC isn't
actually a header at all, for the obvious reason that if it were a header,
everyone would be able to see the BCC recipient list, which would defeat the
whole purpose of Blind Carbon Copy.

Thanks Guys: finally had chance to review, the "looking at resend trick"
works nicely, as does turning off view, internet headers.
