exporting and importing. You should copy your data to PST files small enough
to fit on floppies. Close Outlook. Copy the PST file to the floppy.
Then when you need to access the PST file, return it to a hard drive, remove
its read only attribute, and open it in Outlook using the File > Open
command.

You seem to be unaware there're actually people stuck with floppies as the
only bckup medium.
Enacting the "Bckup Otlk Folders" on an OTLK 2000 pg, =

What part of my explanation did you not understand? You must not export
directly to a floppy (or any other storage medium). In fact, do not export
at all. Close Outlook. Use Windows Explorer to copy the PST file to the
storage medium. It's the only way that works reliably.
