Best export file type to select?

Hi all!

I have yet to prefect the export/import feature. I support 5 outside sales
reps; we all need to send contacts back and forth in order to keep our
contact files in sync or up-to-date if you will.

Is the import/export function the best to use when trying to share/send
contacts from my regional office contact list to my outside guys? If so,
which file type do I select? I have found that the .pst seems to be the most
comprehensive; however it won't email (for me, at least).

Thanks in advance...

Close Outlook. Put the .pst file in a .zip file. Run Outlook, then mail the
..zip file.

What do you mean it "won't email?"
Is everyone using the same version of Outlook? If so which one?
Do you envision a time when you might be using different versions of
Outlook?
Exporting and importing has several drawbacks. There is always data loss
with this method.
Just copying the Contacts into a PST is better.

Thanks Russ. The .pst file will not attach, nor will it burn to a CD. We
all use different versions of Outlook.

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do I copy into a .pst?

Thanks Sue - I'll try that again, but I haven't been able to get that to
work. I'll post again if I can get it to work. :)

The key step is that you must shut down Outlook completely after you perform
the export.

Have you closed Outlook completely before you try to email or burn the PST
file?
To copy your Contacts into a PST file, just use File > New > Outlook Data
file to create the PST file. Then use Edit > Copy to Folder to copy the
Contacts into this PST file.
