Best Migration method - Netscape to Outlook

Any best method or utilities for migrating from Netscape
7.1 to Outlook 2003 for 800 Windows 2000/XP clients? The
mail server is Exchange. If we can't afford a migration
utility (probable), is there any way we can automate it?

ANY help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
ChrisK

I don't know about automating it, but manually, you would have to install
Netscape 4, port the messages from NS 7 to NS 4 and then import them into
Outlook.

Hi Brian, thanks for your feedback. I found another
method that works, albeit labor intensive. I discovered
we have 8500 clients to upgrade with about 10% on MacOS
9.6, 9.1 and 10.x, along with Win95/98/200/XP running
Netscape 4.7 and 7.1. We must migrate Oracle Calendars,
Netscape POP mail and contacts. Here is our initial
process for:

Win2000-Netscape 4.7 > Outlook2003
Contacts -
- Install DAWN Contact Converter Utility (Netscape
must be closed)
- From Netscape, Export .ldif from Netscape to
desktop
- Using DAWN, Import .ldif file from desktop to MS
Outlook
- Confirm contacts converted.
- Uninstall DAWN via Settings, Control Panel,
Add/Remove Programs

Email -
- In Netscape Messenger, create a backup folder
under Local Mail
- Select everything in Inbox and copy to backup
folder, and confirm copy
(necessary because mail moves instead of copies from
Inbox folder)
- Create new IMAP email account
- Under Edit, Preferences, Mail & Newsgroups,
Mailservers
- Delete the POP entry (copy
- Add the IMAP server, exchange-back1.wanadmin.jcps
- Add same server to Outgoing mail (SMTP)
- Copy all email from backup folder to new IMAP
Inbox, and confirm

Calendar -
Export vCalendar from Oracle
Import vCalendar to Outlook, and confirm
