Best way to sync multiple macs?

This may be obvious but we just switched to mac so... We have a Mac pro tower and two macbook pro's. What's the best way to have you Entourage (calendar events, to do's, e-mails, and contacts) to sync up? We bought the home version. Do you need Exchange in the regular version or have to use .Mac? There's got to be an easy way to do this.

Well there are only two ways to sync (easily) data between computers and
you mentioned them both: Exchange and .Mac (providing you sync all your
data to syncservices),

We need to be clear about what and how is syncing. Could you explain more if
the below does not answer your questions.

To sync your mail using one or more computers. - The best option is to use
an IMAP account.

See this page for other options.

Exchange would require an Exchange server and that's not what you want for
the home environment.

See this page for what .Mac would do for syncing. Again, it wasn't clear if
you want to sync your computers or sync with other family members.

So that means I need to upgrade from the home to the regular version?

Do you have an Excahnge account?? Otherwise you could use .Mac.

Take a look at Diane's reply to your thread. She clarifies quite a few
things on what syncs and what doesn't.

Just to be clear. The database has to be completely rewritten each time
there is a change. There is no sync of newly changed data.

Before I could recommend sync, I need to know more. I understand you have
multiple computers, but does this also include different users? When one
user has multiple computers, using an IMAP account is best for syncing mail.

For backup, it depends on what OS you are using. See these two tutorials:

Entourage and Time Machine

Since you are new I suggest looking over the Entourage Help Page
Database/Mail page:

At the top of the Entourage Help Page slick on the Quick Start links to find
help. Be sure to read Basics everyone should know about using Entourage.
