Beta 2 install and Pre-release driving me NUTS

I for the life of me cannot get beta 2 to install. Add remove would not get
rid of Pre-release 1. So I had to delete all office12 ref in the registry.
Still tells me to uninstall pre-release. I refuse to wipe the drive clean
just to get this. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you had a beta 1 version installed, you have access to the beta site and
other resources. Ask your question there.

Please follow these instructions and let me know of the results:
1- Install Office Beta 1 again. If there is a "repair" when you run the
setup, select it. If you can't see repair, choose to install from scratch.
2- Run "microsoft diagnostics" from the start menu, under MS Office menu. If
it finds any error, please note them down and write them here.
3- Use "Add/Remove programs" to remove the office Beta 1.
4- If successful (I guess so), install Beta 2.
