better spam filtering?

Does anyone know of improved spam filtering solutions for Entourage, or if
better filtering is on the way? It would be nice to have a Bayesian filter,
such as Mail or Thunderbird enjoys. The current system is pretty useless, as
I find lots of useful messages in the spam box, yet lots of spam makes it
through.

Thanks,
C.

There is a third-party Bayesian spam filtering product available called
SpamSieve.

The junk mail filtering in Entourage uses samples from Hotmail users. The
full process is described in the document below. It won't be as
personalized as a Bayesian filter, but it is more accurate than the old Junk
Mail Filter in previous versions of Entourage & Outlook Express for Mac.

Thanks Mickey, I will check out SpamSieve. The Bayesian filter is the only
method I have ever had any luck with.

SpamSieve is working out wonderfully. It is already operating far better
than the built-in spam filter ever has. I recommend it to others.
