Big Address Book Bug?

Here's what seems to be a pretty egregious bug I hadn't noticed before SP2:

I opened an address book contact and corrected some info, cutting/pasting
the home address info to the work address info. I clicked Summary to check
it all and then splat-S to save. I then clicked the down arrow to review
the next record. All of the work info -- company, job title, and work
address from the PREVIOUS contact (the one I had just edited) had been
entered into the next record, overwriting it. I had edited a number of
records before I noticed this the first time; the info from the very first
record I edited was pasted into every record I subsequently touched.

I've tried this a couple of times now; it's quite reproducible on my machine
(OS X 10.4.2 w/security updates -- including the one that zaps Entourage
project colors; Entourage 2004 SP2).

Can anyone confirm this as a bug?

Thanks!

I haven't seen this. Try rebuilding the database.

In Entourage 2004, you must launch the Microsoft Database Utility.
1. Launch Entourage, holding down the ³Option² key. Or, launch the
Database Utility separately; it is located in HD/Applications/Microsoft
Office 2004/Office/.
2. If you are prompted, allow the Database Utility to quit open Office
applications.
3. Once the Database Utility is open, select your identity from the list at
the top.
4. Click the ³Rebuild Database² button, and click ³Continue.²

If that doesn't correct the problem, what kind of Address Book are you
using? Local/on your computer, or on an Exchange Server?

After rebuilding the database, I am seeing approximately the same problem.
This time, it was the name (first and last) that overwrote the subsequent
record. This is a local address book; no Exchange Server. The overwritten
info is "saved" into the next record; i.e., there's no way to undo, and the
original data is gone. Again, this happens when I click Save and then Next
in an Address window.

Update: I've noticed that this seems to occur only if I'm on the Summary tab
when I click Save. I can watch the first and last names get overwritten by
the previous contact's. If I am on any of the other tabs of the contact
record when I click Save, it seems to work fine.

This behavior hasn't changed with the 10.4.3 update for OS X (though I'm
happy to have project dots back).

I'm surprised no one else seems to have noticed this one. It made an unholy
mess out my address book. Is there an "official" bug reporting site/list
for Entourage?
