Big problem emailing directly from web links.....

Everytime I try to email via a link I get:

"Could not perform this operation because the email client is not properly
installed"

Then about 56 error IE pages launch.....

I tried the fix listed by an MS-MVP on this NG for a similar problem
(renaming extend.dat etc.) but the problem persists


Outlook is listed as the default email client in IE.

Incidently I don't think is directly related to Outlook 2003 as it recently
occurred with Outlook Express (prior to installing Office 2003).

Any suggestions ?
