Birthday reminders

I am fairly new to Entourage and am trying to transfer all my contact
details to this program. Does anyone know how to set up reminders for
my contact's birthdays? I would rather not create a new event in my
calender for all contacts and would like to do this through my address
book if possible. Thanks for any help.

In the Address Book, open each contact and add their birthday in the
Personal tab if you haven't already. Enter it in one of the standard date
formats such as 2/1/05 - you'll see it change to the abbreviated format "
Tue, Feb 1, 2005" or whatever you have for that format in System Prefs., if
you've done it right, when you click out of that field. Do not add extra
text to this field. Then click the little calendar symbol right next to it,
and choose "Add to Calendar...". That will automatically add an all-day
recurring event to your calendar on the birthday, entitled "Birthday:
Contact Name" (with of course the contacts' real name) starting in the
correct year if you included that, repeating every year, and bearing the
same category as the contact.
