For some reason I can no longer synchronize my Blackberry to my
Entourage calendar or contacts. And, for some reason, I now have an
extra calendar and contact folder on my sidebar. I still have all my
contact information in my contacts folder, but now that folder is
sitting under a new contacts folder, and seems to be indented as if it
were a subfolder under the new one. And, the contacts folder has, in
the past few days had next to the word "contacts" in brackets [not
connected]. Now, however, it says contacts [relivinc], the name of our
email server.
I know this is confusing, but to try to boil it down to its simplest
form, both my address book (contacts) and my calendar have been
supersceded by new contact list and calendar. However, even though the
new calendar and contact list sit above the old ones in the "views"
list, they contain little data (only what I have added in the last few
days. All the pertinent data resides in the contacts folder and
calendar folder that sit below the new ones as sub folders.
This may have been created when I installed a Mac version of Outlook on
my computer, which allows me to view public folders we have on the
company server. I'm thinking Outlook may have created the new
subfolders.
My problem is that Blackberry wants to synchronize with the new folders
(which contain no significant database), so all my contact information
and calendar information on the Blackberry has been overwritten by the
little data in the new folders.
I'm not sure how to either delete the new folders, reroute Blackberry's
synchronization to the subfolders (which doesn't seem to be an option)
or, somehow export the data in the subfolders to the new primary
calendar and contacts folders.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
