the following two formulas show 0 if blank

=IF($D$1="on",MasterList!C5,"")
=IF($D$1="on",C5-D5-E5,"")

Never Mind I figured it out, thanks to Frank Kabel's guide line, Frank you
(OR(ISNUMBER resolved all my problems
