I've suddenly started receiving e-mails from friends with the subject
and text deleted. Several in past 2 days. The same is happening to
them.
The text appears if they re-send as a "forward" from their out-tray.
It does not appear if I click on 'reply' or 'forward' myself.
Co-incidentally (or maybe not) I've suffered the first ever crashes in
2 years of XP use and various other strange events which I can't
explain.
I have downloaded and run latest anti-virus software plus SwatIt,
Spybot and Adaware. I'm using the MS firewall which came with XP.
No problems found.
I'm not an expert but can find my way around basic functions.
Any suggestions, please?
