Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop
This is not a question, it is an answer. I have had a lot of grief with Entourage 2008, and I finally figured out the problem. I thought I would share it here.
MacBook 2.4, 4 Geg, 320 Geg, New Aluminum Intel
Mac OS 10.5.5, Office 12.13
This mac was configured with 5 mail POP accounts. As of a certain time and date, I could not read HTML emails.
Using internet resources, I deleted caches, deleted fonts, rebuilt the database, made a new office user and even created a new Mac user. I tried both POP and IMAP. I removed, reinstalled and upgraded countless times and nothing worked.
My problem has to do with international support. This mac had Hebrew installed (with the little flag in the corner.) After I deleted the international support, I was immediately able to read my HTML emails. I just wish I would have figured this out before I deleted all 27 folders and 30 rules. I'll try a Time Machine restore, maybe I'll be lucky.
Just some additional info for Microsoft. I duplicated the same settings on the similar black Macbook (older version machine, same OS version) and there is no problem with language support.
