blank message bodies -- where has the text gone?

J

james dotca

I often receive messages with blank message bodies. I can still read
the original message when I view the source for the message; Entourage
won't display the body in either the preview window of the full
message window. I have "Display complex HTML" checked in the
Preferences (a possible fix according to Microsoft Mac MVPs). I've
tried both a typical and advanced rebuild, as well, and that hasn't
fixed the problem. The problem seems to occur with messages from all
sorts of places: from Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, as well as from
accounts within my department. It even happens when I send email to
myself! (both from and to Entourage.) Can anyone help?

Thanks,

James

Can you View:Source on one of these messages and paste the entire contents
into a reply to this thread? If I can get a repro, I will send it on to the
Entourage team. Thanks!

4362"...if you find a remedy/explanation kindly please pass it along.

Error 4362. The solution is typically resolved by performing a typical or
advanced rebuild of the database file. For other possible solutions check:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/errors.html#anchor-4362X>

How to rebuild your database:

Under Entourage in the Menu bar, select "Turn Off Office Notifications".
Quit Entourage, and then restart Entourage holding down the Option key. When
the Rebuild dialog box comes up, choose to do a Typical Rebuild first. If
your problem continues, then do the advanced rebuild.
