Block certain file extensions?

Lynn Wood

Is there a way in Outlook 2000 to block certain file
extensions as attachments? I've found where I can set a
rule to delete all attachments, but since my husband
receives a number of txt and MS Word documents as
attachments for his business, that's out of the
question. I e-mailed my ISP (Norton Antivirus's Security
Response site said to set the e-mail server to block
certain extensions), but they said I'd have to do it in
either my e-mail program or antivirus software.

TIA for your help.

Do you want to block it from receiving or do you want to block access to it
when received?
