Blocked Attachments in Outlook 2003

Microsoft got stupid and permantly blocked access to certain file types in
the mail. Not a bad decision unless you do not allow the user to save the
attachment. In Outlook 2002 there was a way in which to restore access to
these file types, is there any hope of such a fix for Outlook 2003? Overall
the program is the best email client on the planet, but I need access to the
attachment and they may not be able to resend the file before the assignment
is due.
