blocking senders

Is there a way to block senders. I keep getting an email from mellytoast with
a W32.Beagle.aw........... virus attached. It's to the point that 4-5 emails
from the same address are received each day. I've put the address on the junk
list, but it keeps showing up on the virus scanner and plugs the pc up. Would
like to block this address all together.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

you can create a rule to delete mail from that person, but the AV scanner is
going to scan the mail before the rule runs.

I myself use the virus scanning lines as a filter, I have a rule(s) that
delete infected mails based on the body text rule, since these are 99%
attacks, and the chances of a legit mail being infected are very small in my
situation.
This way I also discourage people sending me any attachment unsoliceted, and
stick to using mail the way it was intended, attachments are for sharing
files after a problem occurs. Attachments with greetings in are safely
ignored unless from your stepmom:)
