Blown Entourage db

My client has informed me that their Entourage will not open. It attempts
to repair and compact the db but when it starts compact it fails after 800
records.

How can I repair the database or what should I do it get this client back up ?

We also need to know what version of Entourage you are using including any
updates.

How much free space is on the drive?
