Bold and underline apply to previous paragraph as well.

I start a new doucment.
Type a line
Press enter to leave blank line.
Type a second line

Now I either italicize, or bold the second line, and the
same option is applied to the first line as well.
If I go back to un-bold the first line, then the second
line is un-bolded as well.

I do not know what I have done to link these two lines,
but I can not format them independently.
